Anya Olson
Undergraduate Fall 2026 Intern
Anya is an undergraduate at the University of Maryland studying Environmental Science, with a focus in soils, as well as Public Policy. She is a member of UMD's Soil Judging Team and is excited to expand her field work skills to the laboratory through this internship. Anya spent the past summer working at Little Portion Farm in Ellicott City, Maryland, and there developed a fascination with alternative agriculture practices that aim to work with the environment, not against it. She is looking forward to learning more about the possibilities for agriculture in salt-affected areas, and how researchers and farmers can work together to make the most of a rapidly changing situation.
