Lily Moss
Undergraduate Fall 2026 Intern
Lily is an Environmental Science and Technology student with a concentration in Ecosystem Health at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her passion for coastal ecosystems began as a kid growing up on the Chesapeake Bay and now she aims to develop climate resilience within her local community. She was previously an intern with UMD Extension, working on Integrated Pest Management in commercial vegetable production. She became interested in ecology during an internship at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center where she studied the impact of an invasive parasite on native mud crab populations. She developed an interest in soil science through her courses at UMD and is a member of UMD’s soil judging team. She is excited to contribute to research that will directly aid her community.
