Check out the latest publication from the Agroecology Lab! This article reports on results from field trials in Maryland and Delaware testing interseeding cereal rye – legume cover crop mixtures into double-crop soybean. We found that drilling cover crops into wide-row soybeans allows for earlier and more successful legume cover crop establishment than other planting methods. We hope this research will contribute to the expansion of management options available to farmers for integrating cover crops into their cash crop rotations!
